The Chance This position works out of our Ottawa, Ontario location in the Point of Care division. We're empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including Chemistry, Electrolytes, Hematology, Blood Gases, Coagulation, Endocrinology, Cardiac Markers, Neurology, and Informatics. As the Specialist, Inventory Control,
you will have the chance to maintain the physical and electronic accuracy of on-site raw material inventory, coordinate replenishment orders from the 3PL warehouse, and ensure timely daily delivery of materials to multiple departments. You will play a key role in supporting inventory integrity, operational efficiency, and uninterrupted production supporting activities.
What You'll Do Maintain components inventory kept onsite, at offsite warehouse, physically and electronically.
Replenish various departments with components daily.
Replenish components in the Kitting racks.
Coordinate and place orders with the 3PL warehouse to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to support customer demand.
Perform daily cycle counts according to an established schedule.
Execute disposal requests, and any incoming material change requests.
Investigate and resolve inventory issues and discrepancies and notify applicable departments of any expired material.
Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and year end physical inventory counts of both on and off-site inventory.
Identify and recommend improvements in inventory management procedures.
