The candidate will be responsible for installing electrical distribution and transmission systems.
The candidate must overhaul electrical distribution and transmission systems.
The candidate must erect and maintain steel, wood, or concrete poles, towers, and guy wires.
The candidate must splice, solder, and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
The candidate will be responsible for inspecting overhead and underground power lines, cables, and auxiliary equipment.
The candidate will be responsible for instructing apprentices.
The candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining street lighting systems.




The candidate must ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
The candidate will be required to climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets when working aloft on poles and towers, or work in confined spaces such as trenches and tunnels to install power lines, cables, and related equipment.
The candidate must communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
The candidate must work in confined spaces to install power lines, cables, and associated equipment.
Job Requirements The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades.
Candidate having experience is an asset.
The candidate must have Powerline Technician Trade Certification and a Powerline Technician Red Seal Certificate.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor workplace.
The candidate must be able to work at heights.
The candidate must perform underground work.
Work setting The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
Transportation/travel information The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
