Director, Long‑Term Care Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, Social and Health Development, the Director of Long‑Term Care provides strategic and operational leadership as Administrator of Dearness Home. Responsibilities Lead and oversee all aspects of long‑term care operations, including residential services, the Adult Day Program, and community‑based homemaking services. Ensure high‑quality, resident‑centred care, operational excellence, financial stewardship, and compliance with provincial legislation and accreditation standards. Contribute to corporate strategy, drive division‑wide planning and performance. Maintain effective relationships with Council, government partners, and community stakeholders. Advance workforce engagement, labour relations, equity, safety, and continuous improvement in a complex, union‑based healthcare environment. Qualifications Extensive senior leadership experience in long‑term care. Relevant university degree and a recognized Long‑Term Care Home Administration qualification in accordance with Ontario regulations. Deep knowledge of long‑term care legislation. Robust financial and operational acumen. Demonstrated success leading change in regulated environments.
