UBC is seeking a motivated Part time Research and Outreach Project Coordinator to support the Queer Trans Centre. This position emphasizes administrative and event coordination skills within a collaborative research environment.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the Queer Trans Centre for Radical Praxis at UBC, focusing on interdisciplinary research and community engagement. As a part-time coordinator, you'll manage timelines, budgets, and contribute to event logistics. This position aids in connecting diverse perspectives through workshops, seminars, and public events while fostering a collaborative atmosphere among UBC students and community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for programs and events
• Maintain contact lists and update project calendars
• Coordinate meeting logistics and travel arrangements
• Generate project correspondence and promotional materials
• Assist with budget management and financial accounting
Requirements:
• High School diploma plus one year post-secondary education
• Four years of related experience or equivalent
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
