Position Information The Ottawa Hospital's Employee Services Team has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and client-service-focused human resources professional.




Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources Operations and Information Management, the HR Operations and Lifecycle Assistant is responsible for the following:
All data entry of new employees in our Human Resources Information System (Oracle PeopleSoft)
Assisting with audits to ensure that the systems' data integrity is maintained
Working with newly onboarded employees to ensure that previous experience is recognized
Fielding general inquiries from employees on HR-related matters.
General office duties including managing the mail and filing.
Please note, this position is fully in office.
Rotation/Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts.
Basic Requirements College diploma from a two-year program in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field;
Minimum one (1) of related experience, preferably in Human Resources, OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience;
Demonstrated ability at building positive working relationships with clients and partners;
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion and tact when dealing with sensitive or confidential matters;
Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams;
Detail-orientated with excellent problem-solving skills;
Excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously and autonomously;
Exceptional customer service skills.




Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a unionized environment and understanding of Ontario employment legislation and Acts;
Experience with PeopleSoft HCM or any other ERP system;
Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).
