About the PositionAt Onterris, as a Junior Engineer/Scientist based in Grande Prairie, you will assist multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi‑disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a solid team of committed professionals.Compensation: $25.00 to $34.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the field coordination and execution of Phase II environmental site assessments, remediation and groundwater monitoring programs.Support soil and vegetation assessments.Participate in spill responses and associated clean‑up activities.Travel as required to support field programs.Prepare technical reports.Assist with other service line projects when needed.Qualifications and ExperienceExcellent problem‑solving ability.Ability to interface with cross‑functional teams and all levels of personnel/management.Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental, Engineering, Chemistry,



or related science.1–3 years of related experience.Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within reporting structure.Strong oral and written communication skills.Site safety certifications and familiarity with off‑road vehicles, ½ or ¾ ton trucks considered an asset.Valid class 5 driver’s license (or class G or equivalent) with no restrictions.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsSitting, standing, and walking.Lifting 50 pounds several times a day; overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.Works in an office environment when not deployed in the field; often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions.Ability to travel up to 25%.Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal prospect employer and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
