Salary - $110,000 to $120,000 Depending on Experience

The Senior Construction Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects. This role plays a critical part in securing recent business opportunities by preparing detailed bids, analyzing project requirements, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and identifying cost-effective solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, operations teams, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure estimates align with project objectives while maintaining profitability and managing risk.
Produce accurate, well-organized, and timely project cost estimates utilizing a variety of procurement models, including:
Construction Management
Design-Build
Prepare and submit competitive tenders while effectively managing multiple priorities and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project to support bidding and pre-construction activities.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contract documentation, and project requirements to define project scope and assess associated costs.
Prepare conceptual, budget, and detailed estimates at all phases of the project lifecycle.
Research, track,



and maintain current pricing information for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and unit costs.
Analyze various design and construction approaches and recommend the most practical and cost-effective solutions.
Identify, develop, and present value engineering initiatives that enhance project value while preserving quality and performance requirements.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs and comprehensive cost evaluations.
Identify project risks and incorporate appropriate allowances and contingencies into estimate submissions.
Required Qualifications Degree, diploma, or technical certification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related construction field.
Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience with a general contractor, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and hands-on construction experience.
Proven experience preparing estimates for commercial, industrial, institutional, and/or civil construction projects.
Construction contracts and procurement methodologies
Conceptual and detailed cost estimating
Unit cost development and analysis
Corporate objectives and estimating methodologies
Construction techniques, materials, and project sequencing
Project scheduling principles and practices
