Join Senior Neighbors as a part time Accountant and contribute to maintaining fiscal accountability and reporting. This position focuses on payroll, accounts payable, and timely transaction processing for a nonprofit.
As an essential team member, you will report to the Director of Finance and Operations while working 24-28 hours weekly, primarily in the Central Office with future hybrid potential. Experience in nonprofit accounting and understanding of grant cycles will set you up for success in managing transactions, payroll, and vendor relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process agency accounts payable and vendor payments
• Maintain accurate payroll and handle updates effectively
• Track expenses against grant budgets for reporting
• Ensure proper filing and storage of financial records
• Back up recording and reconciling functions as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting required
• 3-5 years of nonprofit accounting experience preferred
• Familiarity with multiple funding sources in nonprofits
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
