AI & Automation Coordinator

As an AI & Automation Coordinator, you'll work across the business to identify challenges, build practical applications and automations, and improve workflows through AI-assisted development. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to prototype, implement, document, and support solutions that create measurable value.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, learns quickly, and can translate complex ideas into tools people will actually use. This role combines process improvement, solution building, testing, training, and hands-on support to help employees confidently adopt new technology.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and deploy practical applications and automations using AI-assisted development
Assess workflows across departments to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation
Prototype solutions quickly, gather feedback, and refine them for practical useTest and validate AI-built solutions for reliability and security before deployment
Create clear documentation, user guides, and training materials that support adoption
Deliver workshops, demonstrations, and hands‑on training for employees
Monitor implemented solutions to track efficiency gains and identify improvements
Stay current on AI and automation trends and evaluate tools with potential business value
Collaborate with internal IT and external consultants to integrate solutions into existing platforms
Train and support employees in the effective use of Microsoft Copilot within Microsoft 365
Follow company policies, procedures, security expectations, and safety standards

Requirements
Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation
Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for overtime and occasional Saturdays
Proficiency with Microsoft 365
Genuine interest in AI and demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly
Ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design practical solutions
Passion for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to encourage technology adoption
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and deadlines
Local to Central Alberta or willing to relocate
Assets
Experience with AI-assisted development tools
Familiarity with automation tools
Experience with Git or other version control systems
Experience implementing AI solutions, process optimization, or technology integrations
