The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking an Educational Assistant for a current vacancy. Ideal candidates will hold appropriate qualifications such as an Educational Assistant Diploma or relevant degree, and have experience supporting special needs children. A Physical Demands test will be required before employment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with special needs in the classroom
• Support educational programs in collaboration with teachers
• Maintain communication with staff and parents regarding student progress




• Implement behavioral management strategies as needed
• Provide individual and group support for special needs children

Requirements:
• EA Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum one year of experience with special needs children
• Behaviour Management Systems certification preferred
• Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder is a plus
• Ability to pass a Physical Demands test
