Compensation Range$27.41 up to $35.46 hourlyPosition SummaryThe Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to perform various tasks such as drilling, milling, and turning. This role requires a combination of technical skills, precision, and problem‑solving abilities to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience in precision machining, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain equipment by completing PMs and calling for repair if requiredTroubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and operational issuesPrepare and load/set up the raw material weldments or castings in the machineUse various equipment/tools to create and repair tooling, including but not limited to grinders, welding equipment, machining equipment, and overhead cranesShow strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality workManufacture parts to print or technical drawingsRequired Skills & ExpertiseLicensed Machinist preferredIn‑depth understanding of fabrication2–5 years of previous work experience in a custom machining shopProficient in reading blueprints and sketchesExperience with 3/4‑axis CNC operation and programmingKnowledge of various controls (e.G., Fanuc, HAAS, Tosnuc, Siemens)Ability to read and edit, as necessary,



G+ mode programmingEffective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisorsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with measuring tools and instruments such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, or other specialized measuring instrumentsExperience with 3‑ and 4‑axis CNC machinesLathe operationPhysical DemandsManufacturing or workshop environment with exposure to loud noise and moving mechanical partsPersonal Protective Equipment must be provided and must be wornHours of work and TravelMust be flexible to work either shift, depending on operational needs.
