Become a vital Support Worker at Shelwin House, a 24-hour shelter dedicated to assisting women and children escaping Interpersonal Violence. The role involves dynamic scheduling with shift options available throughout the day, evening, or night.
Shelwin House seeks friendly, self-directed individuals to fill shift openings as a casual Support Worker. You will help create a safe environment while performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining effective communication with residents. Casual shifts can change weekly, allowing flexibility and potential for further advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist women and children residing in the shelter
• Perform light housekeeping duties as needed
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Cover shifts on short notice when required
• Facilitate a welcoming and supportive atmosphere
Requirements:
• Knowledge of family violence dynamics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license required
• Must be able to work diverse shifts
• Obtain a Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract
