Order Administration: Issue purchase orders, manage material releases,
and proactively expedite deliveries to maintain continuous plant uptime.
ERP Optimization: Utilize the Plex ERP platform to manage purchasing workflows, track supplier fulfillment, and oversee material receiving.
Supplier Development: Collaborate with engineering and operations on Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects and negotiate Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).
Quality & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards across all purchasing operations.
What You Bring:
3–5 years of purchasing experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (purchasing steel)
Proven track record of securing measurable cost reductions and delivery improvements through commercial negotiations.
Post-secondary diploma/degree in Supply Chain Management or Business; enrollment in or completion of an SCMP / CSCMP designation is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing ERP platforms ( Plex preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
