Your Role

As the QA V&V; Lead, you hold ultimate responsibility for the quality and compliance of both hardware and software product development. You will lead the Development QA team and act as the finalsafety gatekeeperfor production releases. Your mission is to ensure a seamless transition between Agile development cycles and the stringent safety requirements of industrial robotics.

Your Main Responsibilities

1. Development QA & Release Management

- Continuous Integration: Oversee the integration of automated tests to enable rapid release cycles without compromising safety.

- Defect Management: Arbitrate critical bugs in Jira and validate fixes before any update or deployment.

2. Verification & Validation (V&V;) Engineering

- Requirements Management: Drive technical and functional requirement traceability using Jama Software throughout the product lifecycle.

- V&V; Strategy: Define and execute verification plans to validate new features and ensure non-regression of robotic systems.

- Safety & Cyber Validation: Specifically verify software layers related to safety-critical functions and cybersecurity.

- Documentation: Author Validation Reports (VVR) essential for market entry and certification filings.

3. Normative Expertise & QC Support

- Risk Analysis: Lead risk assessments in accordance with ISO 12100.





- Robotic & Electrical Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO 10218-1, UL 1740, and IEC 60204-1 standards.

- Functional Safety: Validate that software changes do not impact the Performance Level (PL) defined by ISO 13849-1 (Machinery Directive/CE compliance).

- Quality Control Support: Collaborate with the QC Manager to define production acceptance criteria and manage hardware/software non-conformities.

Your Profile

You hold an advanced degree in computer science or electrical engineering and have proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role, ideally in an industrial or technology setting.

YourSkills:

- Advanced proficiency in Jira, Git (Gitflow, CI/CD), and Jama Software (or an equivalent tool).
- Expertise in machine safety: ISO 13849-1, ISO 10218-1, IEC 60204-1, and UL 1740.
- Natural leadership, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to make firm decisions under pressure.

Job Conditions

Full-time position (40h/week) to be filled as soon as possible at our site located at 1300, rue St-Patrick, Montreal, QC.

Compensation based on profile and experience.

Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).
