Warehouse Associate
Our client located in North York is currently hiring an experienced Warehouse Associate to support the protected, accurate, and efficient receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of products within a busy warehouse environment.
The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented, with hands-on experience operating reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts. This position requires a strong commitment to inventory accuracy, productivity, housekeeping, and customer service.
Key responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation
- Identify and report shortages, overages, damaged goods, and other receiving discrepancies
- Accurately pick, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate material-handling equipment
- Safely operate reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, and other warehouse equipment
- Complete warehouse documentation, system transactions, and inventory movements accurately and on time
- Perform scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in determining the cause of variances
- Ensure physical inventory movements are accurately recorded in the warehouse or ERP system
- Assist with physical inventory counts and audits
- Follow established warehouse procedures, quality requirements, ISO standards, and health and safety policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected working environment
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support customer requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse safety, accuracy,
productivity, and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of experience in a busy warehouse or distribution environment
- Current certification or demonstrated competency operating reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts
- Previous experience with receiving, shipping, order picking, inventory control, and cycle counting
- Experience using warehouse, inventory, ERP, or shipping and receiving systems is an asset
- WHMIS training or willingness to complete the required training
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality-management practices is preferred
- Experience in packaging distribution, corrugated packaging, manufacturing, or a related industry is beneficial but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Candidates must be available to work scheduled shifts Monday through Friday within the warehouse operating hours of 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This may include early or late shifts, as well as occasional Saturdays based on business requirements.

Pay: $22.50-$24.50 per hour
