This temporary position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in inventory management and a robust commitment to safety. As a Material Handler 1, you'll be responsible for material handling, verifying shipments, and ensuring compliance with documentation. Your role is crucial in maintaining efficient operations, so attention to detail and accountability are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all material handling and control tasks
• Verify shipments against packing slips and requirements
• Enter data into MRP systems accurately
• Conduct material cycle counts and discrepancy reports
• Provide customer service at the parts window
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• 1-2 years' experience in inventory management
• Forklift operator’s license required
• Basic computer skills (ERP systems)
• Must complete Safe Lifting Practices course
