Job Title: Theatre Scrub Practitioner Department: Main Theatres Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW Salary: Band 5 - Based on your experience Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shifts: Monday to Saturday rota covering early and late shifts - no night shifts
What you will be doing Preparing instruments, equipment and supplies for surgery
Scrubbing and assisting during surgical procedures
Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and theatre team
Maintaining a safe and sterile theatre environment
Completing WHO safety checks and patient records
Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre colleagues
Supporting students and new members of the team
What we are looking for Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
Valid NMC or HCPC registration
Previous scrub experience within an acute hospital
Varied scrub experience across a range of surgical specialties
Good knowledge of patient safety and infection prevention
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A calm, organised and positive approach
