Our client, a well-established construction organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join their project team on a temporary contract basis for 2 months. Please note, this is a fully on-site role located in Ponoka, Alberta, and the successful candidate must be available to start immediately.
Working closely with the Project Manager, this role will support daily project coordination and administrative functions while ensuring smooth communication between subcontractors, stakeholders, and the project team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience within the construction industry.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $34 - $36 per hour
Temporary contract through November 15, 2026
Key Responsibilities Provide project coordination and administrative support to the Project Manager
Coordinate with subcontractors and project stakeholders to support day-to-day project activities
Track project activities, timelines, and outstanding tasks to support successful project delivery
Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and maintaining effective communication across the project team
Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and tracking information
Follow up with subcontractors and stakeholders regarding outstanding items and deliverables
Support the Project Manager with general project administration and coordination tasks
Communicate professionally with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders
Assist with resolving day-to-day project coordination issues and escalating matters as required
Prioritize competing deadlines and support efficient project operations within a fast-paced environment
Qualifications Previous experience in project coordination, project administration, construction, or related field
Construction industry experience is strongly preferred
Civil construction experience is considered an asset
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and common computer applications
Positive, professional, and team-oriented demeanor
