Welder – Journeyperson, Apprentice or Helper Job Details Company: Upstream Data Inc.

Location: Bay 4, 5702 63 Avenue, Lloydminster, Alberta, T9V 3S1

Salary: $22.00–$40.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, hourly

Department: Welding

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Hours: 40 hours per week

The Opportunity Upstream Data Inc. is hiring welding professionals at multiple different stages of their careers, including:

- Journeyperson and Senior Welders
- Apprentice Welders
- Welder Helpers

Whether you are an experienced ticketed Journeyperson, a registered Apprentice working toward your required hours or a motivated Helper looking to enter the trade, we may have an opportunity for you on our fabrication team. Responsibilities will vary based on the successful candidate’s experience and classification.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret drawings, welding symbols, engineering diagrams and welding-process specifications.
- Operate welding equipment to join structural steel components in various positions.
- Cut, bevel and shape metal components using industrial brakes, shears, torches and grinders.
- Assemble welded frames,



skids and enclosures while maintaining accurate alignment.
- Assist with the construction, repair and maintenance of custom industrial generator sets, data centres and field equipment.
- Inspect completed welds and identify or correct defects before components move to the next production stage.
- Follow Alberta Occupational Health and Safety requirements and all company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the fabrication and production teams.

Qualifications

- Open to ticketed Journeypersons, registered Apprentices and entry-level Helpers with welding aptitude or previous shop experience.
- Ability to read welding symbols, blueprints and engineering layout diagrams, or a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable, safety-focused and able to work as part of a team.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application.
- Upstream Data Inc. is unable to provide visa or work-permit sponsorship.
