We are looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our clients’ team in a hands-on, field-focused role supporting operations throughout Winnipeg and across Manitoba.
Your time will be spent both in the office and in the field conducting site visits, inspections, supporting incident investigations, identifying hazards, and working with supervisors and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
Travel is approximately 25%, with most being day trips and typically 1-4 overnight stays per month. A flexible travel schedule is available, but site visits are a part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct workplace and job-site inspections throughout Manitoba.
Identify hazards and recommend practical corrective actions.
Support incident and near-miss investigations.
Conduct safety training, orientations, and toolbox meetings.
Maintain safety documentation and support audits and compliance requirements.
Help develop and improve health and safety policies and programs.
Stay current with Manitoba OHS legislation and industry best practices.
Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and management.
Manage PPE inventory
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of health & safety experience, preferably in a construction environment.
Education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field is an asset.
COR certification is a strong asset.
Must have excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Manitoba OHS legislation.
Solid communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
Valid driver’s licence, clean criminal background check
