Birch Mountain Enterprises is looking to hire an experiencedmaintenance worker who is a Jack or Jill of all trades, to join our team. You will perform basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required, mainly on washcars . To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and repair manuals.

Job Summary:
Operating out of our Fort McKay Incubator Park location, the Maintenance Worker, will perform maintenance & repairs related to buildings, grounds and equipment, in one or more areas such as electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and grounds-keeping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain our fleet of washcars: minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry work required.

Inspectthe building, grounds, and equipment.

Handlenecessary repairs and maintenance.

Installequipment and appliances.

Follow building codes.

Complywith all company safety regulations.





Keepa maintenance log and writes shift reports.

Reportany issues to the Operations Manager or clients.

Respondto repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.

Loadand unloadequipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.

Followwritten and verbal instructions from the Operations Manager or clients.

Collaboratewith the maintenance team and contractors as needed.

Readand follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.

Useequipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

This position does not require red seal certification in any trades.

Previous experience with building maintenance, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.

Minimum possess a valid class 5 license with a clean driver's abstract.

Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Skills and abilities:

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.

Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.

Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.

Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.

Experience performing routine maintenance.

Strong organizational and follow up skills.

Eye for detail.

Qualified presentation and attitude.

Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

Strong time management skills.
