The Opportunity:
Our client, a well-established organization in the not-for-profit industry, is looking for a Wellness Educator to join their team in Windsor, Ontario. The Wellness Educator will be responsible for developing and facilitating wellness-focused programs and educational activities that promote recovery, resilience, healthy living, and overall well-being for individuals experiencing mental health and/or addiction challenges.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
· Developing, coordinating, and facilitating wellness education programs, workshops, groups, activities, events, and outings.
· Delivering educational sessions on mental wellness, stress management, self-care, healthy coping strategies, resilience, healthy relationships, and overall well-being.
· Encouraging and supporting client participation in wellness and recovery-focused programming.
· Creating and adapting engaging, accessible, and client-centered educational materials and programming to meet diverse needs, abilities, and goals.
· Promoting healthy lifestyle choices and practical strategies that support clients’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
· Supporting clients in identifying personal wellness goals and developing strategies to work toward achieving them.
· Providing information and education regarding available mental health, wellness, and community resources.
· Collaborating with the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Team, community partners,
and service providers to support client-centered goals and programming.
· Observing client participation and communicating relevant progress, updates, or concerns to appropriate staff and supervisors.
· Maintaining accurate program documentation, attendance records, statistics, and other required information.
· Collecting client feedback and contributing to program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Maintaining confidentiality, professional boundaries, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures while recognizing when clients may require additional clinical or community support.
· Fostering a safe, respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
· Monitoring wellness program materials and supplies and assisting with inventory and purchasing as required.
· Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, supervision meetings, and professional development opportunities.
· Supporting team members with special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Community College Diploma or University Degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Mental Health and Addictions, Social Work, Psychology, Health Promotion, Recreation and Leisure, Community Services, or a related field.
· 2–5 years of experience supporting individuals experiencing mental health and/or addiction challenges.
· Experience facilitating wellness, psychoeducational, recreational, recovery-focused, or life-skills groups.
· Knowledge of mental health and wellness promotion, recovery principles, self-care, stress management, resilience,
and healthy coping strategies.
· Strong facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
· Ability to develop engaging, accessible educational materials and create a supportive, respectful, non-judgmental, and client-centered environment.
· Solid organizational, time-management, program-planning, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· First Aid, CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification, or willingness to obtain.
