Location: 1 PLACE VILLE MARIE:MONTRÉAL - The candidate will conduct client interview sessions and prepare detailed summary letters outlining the advice discussed.
- The candidate will participate with advisors in client and prospect seminars while developing relationships with estate planning professionals both internally and externally to RBC Financial Group.
- The candidate will stay current with pertinent legislation, policy, and risk management issues.
- The candidate will proactively identify current business and referral opportunities for RBC Financial Group where appropriate.
- The candidate will foster a cohesive working environment across RBC Financial Group to support seamless service delivery to clients.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and reporting an accurate and complete record of activities and results.
- The candidate will be required to work with advisors in identifying appropriate opportunities.
- The candidate will be responsible for following through and coordinating any actions that come out of the interview process, including various internal and external consultants.
- The candidate will be responsible for staying current on the business unit's strategy and client offerings. Job Requirements - The candidate must hold a Canadian Law Degree.
- The candidate must be a Member of the Quebec Board of Notaries or a Member of the Bar Association from at least one Canadian province (or equivalent).
- The candidate will be required to have a minimum of 5 years' experience and advanced knowledge of Canadian legislation, including wills planning, estate and trust administration, and related tax rules and planning opportunities.
- The candidate must have good knowledge of various insurance products as estate planning tools.
- The candidate must have advanced knowledge of common law related to wills, estates and trusts.
- The candidate will be required to communicate fluently in both English and French.
- The candidate must hold a valid driver's license.
- The candidate must have Estate and Trust experience.
- The candidate must have knowledge of Insurance Planning and Solutions.
- The candidate will be required to have knowledge in cross-border estate law.
- The candidate should have STEP membership.
