Job Overview The Youth Employment Job Coach & Developer supports vulnerable and underrepresented youth to secure and maintain employment. This role focuses on employer engagement, job development, and individualized coaching to ensure successful job placement & retention.

Working closely with the youth Facilitator & Case Manager, this position bridges program participation to real- world employment opportunities, ensuring youth are supported before, during and after work experience and job placements.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in vocational rehabilitation, career development, social services or related field
- 2-5 years experience in employment services, job development, career counselling,, or working with vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of local labour market trends and employment resources
- Must own a vehicle, hold a valid B.C. Driver’s License, have a clear driving record and have business insurance with $3,000,000 liability.
- Must have access to vehicle and willing to travel regularly within the lower mainland to meet with employers and youth.

Skills & Certifications:
- First Aid/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or MANDT certificates
- Strong relationship-building & networking skills




- Confident communicator with the ability to engage employers and advocate for youth
- Coaching & mentorship skills
- Highly organized with strong follow‑up and documentation skills
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Flexible. proactive, and results-oriented

Key Responsibilities:
1. Employer Engagement & Job Development

- Build & maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities for youth
- Develop job placements, work experiences and internships align with youth skills & goals
- Educate employers on the benefits of hiring program participants
- Advocate for inclusive and supportive workplaces for youth facing barriers
- identify wage subsidy or training opportunities where applicable

1. Job Coaching & Placement Support

- Provide individualized job search support, including applications, resumes & interview preparation
- Match youth to appropriate employment opportunities based on readiness interests & goals
- Prepare youth for workplace expectations and transitions into employment
- Support onboarding and initial job placement to ensure a strong start
- Provide ongoing check-ins & support during and after work placements

Pay: $32.45 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Education:
- DCS / DEC (preferred)

Experience:
