Job Overview

Youth Stars Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Basketball Coach to lead an after-school basketball program for youth in Grades 4–6 at Willingdon School.

This program combines basketball training, game play, mentorship, and personal development to help young participants build their athletic skills while developing confidence, teamwork, leadership, and positive relationships.

Schedule

Every Friday | 3:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Start Date: Fall 2026 – exact start date to be confirmed

End Date: March 2027

Session Structure

Each 1-hour-15-minute session will include:

- 10 minutes: Warm-up
- 40 minutes: Basketball training and skill development
- 10 minutes: Scrimmage / game play
- 15 minutes: Mentorship and personal development

Responsibilities The Basketball Coach will:
- Lead engaging basketball practices for students in Grades 4–6




- Teach fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and game concepts
- Organize drills, activities, and scrimmage opportunities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment
- Support youth confidence, leadership, communication, and teamwork
- Participate in the mentorship and personal-development component of the program
- Serve as a positive role model for participating youth

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

- Has basketball coaching or playing experience
- Enjoys working with children and youth
- Is energetic, reliable, patient, and encouraging
- Can create a fun and structured learning setting
- Values mentorship, personal development, and community engagement
- Has strong communication and leadership skills

Compensation

$50 per session - 1 session weekly
