Make an impact as a Youth Probation Officer with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services in Sudbury. Support rehabilitation and supervision of young persons in conflict with the law. This temporary role focuses on effective case management and supervision, primarily working with Indigenous youth.
You will create assessment plans, liaise with social services providers, and utilize your knowledge of the local community for rehabilitation efforts. Collaboration, robust communication, and analytical skills are vital in this impactful position. Key Responsibilities:
- Organize supervision for youth in conflict with the law
- Manage cases and develop rehabilitation plans
- Prepare reports and enforce court orders
- Conduct community and facility interviews
- Maintain electronic case documentation Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social/behavioral sciences
- Two years’ experience as a Probation Officer 1
- Knowledge of youth justice legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Frequent travel within the communities served Utilize your expertise in youth justice and community connection to drive positive change.
