Computer Modeling & Simulation Staff Specialist/EngineerLocation: London, CanadaDate Posted: Jun 2, 2026Requisition ID: 5107Job Category: EngineeringCareer Level: P55 - StaffRemote Work Options: OnsiteSecurity Clearance: Ability to obtainPay Type: SalarySalary Range: $85,600.00 - $107,000.00Job DescriptionPerform fluid flow analyses using ANSYS FLUENTPerform buoyancy analyses using Rhino/OrcaPerform structural analyses using NX NASTRAN and/or Altair suite of FEA toolsPerform fatigue analyses using Glyphworks/NCodeResearch new CAE areas, products and methodologies and implement them in GDLS-C common proceduresPerform test data analyses and simulation validationsWork in small temporary project teams with other engineers and provide an ongoing CAE supportBuild and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customersKey Job ElementsPerform advanced computer simulations of military vehicles and subsystemsConduct research of recent simulation techniques applicable to GDLS-C productsPerform vehicle mobility studiesPerform structural analysisCreate advanced controls system models to evaluate various controls algorithms and strategies for automotive systemsInteract with design teams and provide efficient and timely simulation support to product development, drive design solutions based on simulation resultsDevelop in-house software to solve dynamic problems using high level programming languagesWrite technical reportsProvide support for R&D validation testing (i.E. prepare test plan/report, perform data reduction/analysis)Provide technical support and guidance, within field of expertise, to Design Engineers during design development, e.G.



advising on structural designSupport new product development with simulations and analysesRequired QualificationsUniversity degree in Engineering3 to 5 years of related experience in CAE field, preferably in automotive, defense or aerospace industryKnowledge of CAE software applications for FEA, CFD and fatigue analysesKnowledge of automotive subsystemsKnowledge of stress analyses, mechanics, dynamics and mathematicsDemonstrated written and oral communication skillsSuperior organizational skills with the ability to be agile, set priorities and multi-task under pressureSelf-motivated and effective working in a team-oriented environmentAbility to travel (10% Canadian, 5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passportPreferred QualificationsAdvanced University degreeFamiliar with NX NASTRAN, Altair suite of FEA tools, ADAMS, MATLABExperience with heavy off road vehicles engineeringExperience dealing with defense design standardsProfessional Engineer (PEO) or eligible to become P.Eng.Working ConditionsPhysical Conditions and Hazards:The conditions in which an individual or staff works, including but not limited to such things as amenities, physical environment, stress and noise levels, degree of safety or danger, temperature, location.1)
