We are continuously seeking Senior IT Project Managers with solid project leadership experience, federal government experience, and/or Government of Canada security clearance for current and upcoming opportunities. These positions support major and complex Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) initiatives and may involve full-time, part-time, or as-and-when-required engagements depending on the specific project and client requirements. Position Summary Maplesoft Group is looking for experienced Senior IT Project Managers to lead and support major and complex IM/IT projects within federal government environments. The successful candidates will bring strong project management, governance, risk management, stakeholder coordination and strategic advisory experience.
Candidates do not necessarily need to meet every requirement below; we are interested in professionals whose experience aligns with the requirements and who can demonstrate strong senior-level project management capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, implementation and delivery of major and complex IM/IT projects. Develop project charters, project management plans, schedules, dashboards and implementation plans. Manage project scope, schedules, costs, resources, risks, issues and dependencies. Develop and maintain risk-management plans, risk registers and mitigation strategies. Establish stakeholder-management, communication and change-control plans. Monitor project milestones, deliverables, quality and performance indicators. Prepare project briefings, dashboards and status reports for senior management. Coordinate multidisciplinary business and technical teams. Identify resource requirements, conflicts, gaps and project interdependencies. Establish and maintain project governance, reporting and document-management processes. Provide strategic advice to senior management regarding project implementation, risks and corrective actions.
