Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Payroll & Office Coordinator for an prospect within a fast-paced office and operations environment in Dartmouth, NS.
This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in administration, payroll support, office coordination, accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and customer service. You will support daily office operations while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and efficient service across multiple departments.
Pay Rate: $22-$24/hour
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Shift: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:
Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Welcome visitors and direct them to the appropriate departments or contacts.
Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, printing, and document management.
Maintain office supply inventory and ensure reception and common areas remain organized.
Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages.
Create, maintain, and update contracts, records, and databases.
Perform data entry, order entry, and record maintenance activities.
Maintain employee safety training records and documentation.
Support job costing activities, including maintaining spreadsheets and tracking project information.
Process payroll-related documentation, review timesheets, and maintain payroll records.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding administration, including employee documentation.
Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Assist with shipping and receiving documentation, equipment tracking, and operational reporting.
Provide administrative support to site supervisors and operational teams.
Perform other office and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional business, office administration, or accounting education is considered an asset.
3-5 years of administrative or office experience.
Payroll experience is considered a strong asset.
Experience within the construction industry is considered an asset.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Sound problem-solving skills and professional judgment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
