Job OverviewPosition:Java Developer (Senior Software Engineer) – Vancouver, BC, Canada (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week). This temporary, full‑time role lasts approximately 13 months with an hourly rate of $65–$73.Role SummaryYou will design and implement high‑performance, cloud‑ready backend services in Java, utilizing frameworks such as Spring and gRPC. You will mentor junior developers while remaining hands‑on with coding, testing, and design.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop backend services in Java using Spring and gRPC for high‑performance applications.Own technical assets for assigned workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and production readiness.Collaborate with external teams, manage requirements, and drive discussions related to architecture and design.Work with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), Kubernetes, containerized deployments, and support cloud migration initiatives.Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and maintain coding standards.Promote automation in deployment and validation processes to improve efficiency and reliability.Lead and mentor junior team members while being able to work independently.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.6+ years of experience developing backend services in Java, including Spring and gRPC.Strong coding expertise in Java, Python,
