In this Band 12 position, you will develop and implement strategies aligned with PSAC’s objectives regarding essential services. Your expertise in labour law, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution will be critical when determining exclusions and advocating for members' rights. This job offers a dynamic work workplace under the direction of the Manager of Operations and Regional Negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for essential services and management exclusions • Advocate for PSAC's position in quasi-judicial settings • Assess work descriptions and classify job functions • Conduct research and apply labour law in negotiations • Communicate complex legal principles to members and stakeholders
Requirements: • Extensive knowledge in labour law or relations • Strong bilingual communication skills in English and French • Proven experience in negotiations and advocacy techniques • Familiarity with MSOffice and PSAC policies • Sound judgment and commitment to union principles
