Enhance accessibility in education as an Accessibility Services Assistant, emphasizing student support and administrative excellence. This on-call position is focused on facilitating student success through effective exam coordination. You will collaborate with the Department Head, Student Access and Support, providing operational assistance in Accessibility Services.
This includes a variety of tasks such as invigilating exams, managing accommodations, and supporting staff with specialized software and resources. A strong commitment to confidentiality is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and invigilate accommodated examinations
- Communicate with students regarding exam details
- Support Accessibility Coordinators with clerical tasks
- Maintain and update web content and documentation
- Participate in outreach activities and student orientations Requirements:
- High School graduation is mandatory
- Completion of a Human Services or related program preferred
- Minimum 2 years in student services with disabilities
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and resources beneficial Contribute to creating an inclusive academic workplace while supporting student needs directly.
