Your Mission
The Accounts Administrator plays a pivotal role within Benchmark Reliability Services, Acoem Canada, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the company’s day-to-day accounting functions. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including tracking payments, purchases, receipts, and sales, and preparing weekly financial reports for the executive team. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance,
the role encompasses a broad range of bookkeeping activities, including supporting cross-functional projects, assisting the sales team, and contributing to a productive and cooperative work environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Saskatoon Headquarters):
Benchmark Financial Accounting
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate recording of sales transactions.
- Manage bookkeeping activities, including maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, balancing the company ledger on a monthly basis, tracking budget variances, and posting debits and credits.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on financial results, providing insights into key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage bank accounts, monitor cash flow, and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government source deductions, filing returns accurately and on time with the assistance of a professional accountant engaged by the Corporation. i.e. provincial sale tax remittance, etc.
- Set up, execute and maintain payroll in QuickBooks, good understanding of issuing T4’s, CPP and EI deductions, etc.
Sales and Order Processing
- Support inside sales efforts, assisting with order processing (receiving and accepting POs, quote generation via QuickBooks when required, and customer inquiries.
- Manage customer accounts, maintain accurate records, and address any billing or payment issues.
Administrative Support
- Work with office administrator to reconcile monthly project timesheets and invoice accordingly.
- Provide accounting support to clients when required, addressing inquiries and resolving accounting issues promptly.
- Working with Accounting Firm and Acoem Headquarters.
Human Resources
- Maintain employee records, such as tracking vacation and sick leave, and manage payroll processing.

Qualifications, skills and experience
- Proven experience bookkeeping management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant accounting/financial software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organized and attention to detail
