We are currently accepting resumes for an Administrative Assistant to join the Kamloops Regional Team. This is a full-time, permanent position in our Kamloops Member Centre.
Job Summary:
CLAC is seeking a motivated, self-directed individual with strong interpersonal skills to join the BC Labour Relations (BCLR) Admin Team as an Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate must be comfortable working both independently, including occasionally working alone in the office, and collaboratively as part of a team. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in an environment where interruptions and distractions may occur.
Due to the nature of this role, discretion and a strong commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of member information are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and proofreading a variety of memos, forms, letters, and reports including collective agreements
- Formatting and editing documents
- Filing and database work
- Composing straightforward, routine letters
- Preparing packages for employee sign-up, membership meetings, organizing drives, etc.
- Making copies of, or scanning correspondence or other printed matter
- Welcoming, directing and assisting with visitors and callers
- Entering membership information into the database
- Ordering office supplies and completing office errands when needed
- Incoming mail
- General office email review and distribution
- Working collaboratively on multiple internal teams across the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completion of High School or general equivalency education
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database work
- Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships
- Ability to remain organized when handling a variety of responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to handle confidential information with diplomacy and strict adherence to confidentiality
Reporting and Accountability: This position reports directly to Office Manager in Langley.
Compensation:
The annual salary will range from $49,987 to $71,076.
