Musora Media
Abbotsford
Hi, I'm Caleb Favor, the Chief Technical Officer at Musora Media.
At Musora, we're on a mission to create a world where everyone can play music. Right now, we're looking for Marketing Analytics Engineer to help shape the future of Guitareo.
Musora is the company behind Drumeo, Pianote, Guitareo, Singeo and PlayBass, a portfolio of online music education platforms serving learners worldwide. Paid media and lifecycle marketing are central to how new learners discover Musora, and the data supporting them flows through a modern marketing analytics stack: mobile and web attribution, ad platform conversion tracking, a lifecycle messaging platform and a Snowflake data warehouse.
Following a recent rebuild of this attribution stack, Musora is establishing a dedicated role to own it. The Marketing Analytics Engineer joins a four-person data team reporting directly to the Chief Technical Officer and serves as the technical partner to the Marketing, Growth and Product Marketing teams and to external media partners.
The primary focus of the role is the continuous improvement of the marketing data platform: monitoring and reconciling data across systems, hardening tracking against releases and platform changes, building the data models, dashboards and automation that allow Marketing and Finance to self-serve, and establishing measurement for new channels, campaigns and product launches. The role also serves as the point of escalation for attribution discrepancies and tracking issues, providing clear root-cause analysis and coordinating resolution.
Important Notes:
- To ensure you’re viewing the most accurate and up-to-date job opportunities, please apply directly through our official website or through our trusted third-party sites (Indeed, Monster, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Talent.com & Ziprecruiter).
- We don’t use AI to screen applications. So if you put real thought into your submission (and avoid generic, AI-generated responses), it will absolutely stand out!
Key Duties: Own marketing attribution and tracking
- Own the accuracy and reliability of attribution and tracking across web, mobile and checkout: mobile measurement, web analytics and tag management, ad platform conversion APIs and ecommerce pixels.
- Build the reconciliation that compares spend, conversions and attributed revenue across ad platforms, attribution tools and the warehouse, and turn it into monitoring so problems surface before they affect decisions.
- Verify tracking after funnel, checkout and app changes, and keep a clear map of how events and conversions flow between systems.
- Be the go-to for attribution questions from marketing stakeholders and media partners, and answer them with evidence.
Build marketing data and reporting
- Build and maintain the dbt models and pipelines that bring ad platform, attribution and lifecycle data into Snowflake.
- Build marketing performance dashboards in Hex: spend, acquisition cost, trial and conversion funnels, attributed revenue by channel and brand.
- Automate recurring marketing reports and work with Finance so marketing metrics and financial reporting agree.
- Extend our internal AI data tooling with marketing datasets and definitions so stakeholders can self-serve routine questions.
Run the technical side of marketing operations
- Own the lifecycle messaging platform's technical layer: attribute and event catalogue, segments, triggered campaigns and integrations.
- Partner with Growth and Product Marketing on campaign and experiment setups, and on the measurement side of seasonal campaigns and product launches.
- Write runbooks so launches, experiments and tracking checks are repeatable, and improve them over time.
- Work with engineering teams when a tracking improvement needs a code change: define it, review it, verify it in production.
Who you are
- 3+ years in marketing analytics, marketing technology, growth data or analytics engineering, with hands-on ownership of paid media tracking.
- You understand how digital attribution actually works: attribution windows, mobile measurement partners, iOS privacy changes, server-side conversions, cross-domain tracking, and why platforms never agree.
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field — or you’ve built equivalent experience through hands-on work.
- You’re confident working in SQL and can take a business question, dig into the data, and turn it into a clear, useful answer.
- You understand how data moves and fits together, including data modelling, pipelines, and data quality, and you know how to spot when something doesn’t look right.
- You have administered at least one attribution tool (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Triple Whale, Northbeam or similar) and at least one analytics or tag management tool (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Events Manager or similar).
- You have worked in a lifecycle messaging platform such as Customer.io, Braze or Iterable.
- You explain technical things clearly to non-technical people, in writing and in person, and you communicate proactively in an asynchronous team.
- You live our core values: Empathy, Passion and Grit.
Nice to have
- Experience with ecommerce checkout as the conversion surface, or with subscription businesses.
- Experience with in-app purchase or subscription data on iOS and Android.
- Exposure to finance reporting such as spend reconciliation or payback analysis.
- Experience designing and reading A/B tests.
- You already use AI tools to speed up query writing, exploration and documentation.
Our Stack
- Data: Snowflake, dbt, Hex
- Attribution and analytics: AppsFlyer, Triple Whale, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Ads
- Lifecycle and commerce: Customer.io, Shopify
- Tooling: Python, SQL, GitHub, AWS,
and AI coding and data tools that we pay for and expect you to use
