Accounts Receivable Operations (75%)
• Lead Accounts Receivable functions, including billing, cash receipts, collections, petty cash, customer service, resident trust accounting, and ancillary billing.
Support Connect
Care receivable processes and act as liaison with AHS Billing, Cash &
- Collections. Ensure revenue, cash receipts, and receivables are accurately recorded, reconciled, and supported by effective internal controls. Oversee AR reconciliations, cash handling processes, business office operations, and financial reporting activities. Review and approve daily cash reports, petty cash transactions, cheque requisitions, and related documentation. Support process improvements, policy updates, billing rate changes, and audit requirements. Oversee collections activities and resident trust accounting. Leadership &
- People Management (25%)
- Recruit, schedule, train, supervise, coach, and develop Accounts Receivable staff. Coordinate onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing learning to maintain operational expertise and service standards. Manage attendance, performance, and workload allocation to ensure efficient service delivery. Address employee and customer concerns and foster a team-oriented, customer-focused work environment. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required. A diploma in accounting from a recognized post secondary institution is required, a degree is preferred. Seven to Ten years progressively responsible experience in Billing, Cash handling, and account analysis as well as 2-3 years of supervisory experience. A combination of education and experience would also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in health care sector. Experience leading in a Union environment. Experience with Connect Care and HRCM for billing purposes.
