In this role, you will deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in architectural principles, design techniques, and industry practices. Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cover fundamental and advanced architectural concepts
- Facilitate classroom discussions, critiques, and collaborative projects to enhance student learning and creativity
- Guide students through design exercises, model making, technical drawings, and digital modeling tools
- Assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and mastery of skills
- Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and career development
- Stay current with industry trends, software updates,
and pedagogical best practices to ensure relevant instruction
- Support students in preparing portfolios, presentations, and project proposals for academic or professional opportunities
Experience
- Proven classroom experience in teaching architecture or related design disciplines at the high school or college level
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, drafting techniques, and digital modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse student populations
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that balances theory with practical application
- Prior experience mentoring students through projects or portfolio development is a plus
- A background in architecture practice or professional licensing can enhance instructional credibility
