Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint application
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove rust, dents, and imperfections from vehicle bodies
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks to move parts or vehicles safely around the shop
- Apply primers and other preparatory coatings with precision for optimal finish results
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with technicians and mechanics to support ongoing repair processes
- Follow safety protocols diligently when handling tools, chemicals, and heavy equipment
Requirements
- Previous dealership or automotive repair experience is highly preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle components and repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and scrapers; familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn recent skills and adapt in a fast-paced environment
