GIZEH’s Canada location continues to grow and as such, we are looking to grow our team with enthusiastic and professional individuals who are looking for a rapid paced and rewarding position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all deliveries to our local customers as well as loading and unloading the freight. Additional duties include pickup and deliveries to offsite storage warehouse as required. Driving distance approx. 1.5 km (one way), Workload: between 4 and 8 deliveries per night.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Safe, efficient deliveries to local food industry on Just in Time principle.
- Ability to shunt at least 12 trailers during 12-hour shift to the customer.




- Maintain discipline at customer’s place for security clearance / check in and check out.
- Follow speed limit at customer’s plant.
- Close co-ordination with warehouse team (Gizeh and customer) for trailer pick ups and drop offs.
- Maintain Truck and Trailer Inspection Form daily in compliance with Food Safety Standards.
- Maintain Pre and Post trip inspection log on daily basis for every deliver/pickup/transfer. Electronic Log is not required.
- Safekeeping of company product and equipment, maintaining safety of yourself and those around you.
- Keep record of preventative maintenance and annual safety of the fleet
- Maintain top quality housekeeping, fuel economy and efficient run times
- Above all a willingness to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain frequent communication with inventory and management teams to ensure customer’s delivery expectations are met and Food Safety Standards are maintained
- Help as forklift driver in the warehouse as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Valid Ontario driver’s license – AZ class
- Driving record check (abstract), Certificates, memberships, courses
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving/delivery experience
- Must have a clean driving history
- Highly organized
- Outstanding attention to detail
- A positive attitude and highly motivated
- Professional appearance
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to function well as part of a team
- Must have a flexible schedule with the possibility of working weekends, statutory holidays

Education, Training, Certificates

- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
