Rushton Gas & Oil Equipment Ltd. is currently hiring an experienced “B” Pressure Welder for a permanent, full-time day-shift position. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting and welding ASME pressure vessels and piping systems used in skid-mounted oil and gas processing equipment.

This is an in-town shop position located in northeast Edmonton, just north of Sherwood Park. No camp or out-of-town work is required.

We are a well-established Alberta-based oilfield manufacturing company that supplies equipment to Western Canadian and international markets.

Position Details

- Position: “B” Pressure Welder
- Location: Northeast Edmonton, just north of Sherwood Park
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with half-day Saturdays as required
- Employment: Permanent, full-time
- Start date: Immediate
- Employee rate: $46+ per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability
- Contractor rate: $56+ per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability

Duties and Responsibilities

- Interpret welding procedures and process specifications
- Read and work accurately from blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Fit and weld ASME pressure vessels and process piping
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
- Perform arc-air gouging as required
- Work with GMAW,



SMAW and FCAW welding processes
- Operate overhead cranes safely
- Complete structural welding when required
- Maintain high standards for workmanship, productivity and safety
- Work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment

Requirements

- Red Seal Journeyman Welder certification
- Valid Alberta “B” Pressure Welder certification
- Proven experience welding pressure vessels and process piping
- Strong blueprint-reading and layout skills
- Ability to fit and weld independently
- Organized, dependable and capable of working in a fast-paced fabrication shop
- Safety-focused and committed to producing high-quality work
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
