About The Behaviour Company The Behaviour Company provides trauma-informed, evidence-informed treatment to children and youth with complex developmental, behavioural, mental health and psychiatric needs in licensed residential settings.

Our clinical model prioritizes

- Safety, regulation and connection over control
- Compassionate, function-based behavioural support
- Accurate and meaningful clinical data
- Consistent implementation of individualized treatment programs
- Ongoing staff coaching and competency development
- Dignity, assent and quality of life

We integrate applied behaviour analysis with trauma-informed care and interdisciplinary clinical support. Our goal is to produce meaningful, measurable outcomes while maintaining each young person’s dignity, trust and emotional safety.

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Behaviour Therapist Assistant to support clinical programming across our residential homes.

This is a dedicated, non-ratio clinical support position. It is not a standard front-line residential role.

Working under the direction of the Clinical Director and in collaboration with Program Managers, the Behaviour Therapist Assistant helps ensure that individualized treatment programs are implemented accurately and consistently. The position combines direct observation, data review, treatment-integrity monitoring, staff coaching and clinical documentation.

This opportunity is well suited to an experienced behaviour therapist who wants to develop advanced clinical skills while working with complex cases in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Observe and monitor the implementation of individualized Behaviour Support Plans, skill-acquisition programs and other clinical protocols
- Complete treatment-integrity and program-fidelity observations
- Identify implementation concerns and promptly communicate them to the Clinical Director and appropriate Program Manager
- Support accurate and consistent collection of behavioural, skill-acquisition and treatment-integrity data
- Review and organize data to identify trends, missing information, inconsistencies and areas requiring clinical review
- Prepare graphs, summaries and other materials to support clinical decision-making
- Provide in-the-moment coaching, modelling and constructive feedback to front-line staff
- Support staff competency development in data collection, antecedent strategies, reinforcement, skill-building, co-regulation and function-based intervention
- Assist with clinical training and staff competency assessments
- Help prepare program materials, data sheets, visual supports and implementation resources
- Support the consistent application of trauma-informed, compassionate and assent-based practices

- Participate in clinical reviews, case discussions and program-update meetings
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director, Program Managers and interdisciplinary consultants
- Maintain timely, accurate and professional clinical documentation
- Travel between program locations as required
- Perform other related clinical-support duties within the scope of the position

- Strong understanding of applied behaviour analysis principles
- Experience supporting children or youth with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, mental health needs or behavioural complexity
