Duties and responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

- Identify all the possible posture possibilities and alterations required for made to measure garment (referred to as Blue Pencil)
- Performing, when necessary, alterations by hand on paper markers, maintain and record process
- Create and update technical specifications for PDM and Accumark using tech packs
- Assist with repairs: diagnose issues, record issues, distinguish production vs. pattern errors, and ensure timely replacements
- Support the fitting of customers in person for MTM garments
- Uploading Styles and changes to AS400
- Correcting Edit sheets/orders to comply with Coppley Databases (Style Suffixes, MTM Database, Alteration Maximums)
- Create technical processes, for alteration or construction, for use in various departments (All Design team effort)
- Track throughput of orders through department

Cross Training / Knowledge Base

- Familiarity with the cloth cutting code process and testing of products to account for shrinking and/or stretching
- Knowledge of how to digitize patterns
- Develop and understand patterns, designs, order process,



and the marking system using appropriate software
- Solid understanding of the overall production process flow at Coppley

Others

- Able to comply with all Health and Safety legislation and policy
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job:

- Must have education and experience in pattern design and/or alterations of patterns
- Gerber, AS400 and Adobe Illustrator, an asset
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships and foster cooperation
- Previous tailoring experience would be an asset
- Confident in interacting with all levels of staff
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and on a team
- Flexible to meet changing demands of the workplace
- Must be able to read and write proficiently in English
- Basic math skills, including converting from metric to imperial and fractions

- Able to sit or stand at a desk or worktable
- Frequent walking, sitting, standing
- Some lifting of cloth, paper, etc

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 39.0 per week
