Local Didsbury company Bridgemen Services Ltd. is seeking to hire Full -Time Bridge Construction Labourers. We are only accepting resumes via email. No phone calls please

This is a full-time position, which is year round with employer paid health benefits and semi-annual safety bonuses. You must be physically fit and able to work long days in various weather conditions. Must be willing to work out of town Mon to Fri and occasionally through weekend (paid overtime). A valid drivers license is a must . Must currently live within 1hr of Didsbury (Calgary and Red Deer are acceptable).

We are seeking individuals who work well in a team and are reliable with a robust work ethic.

Duties:

- General manual labour (with and without machines)
- Work on structural steel, concrete, asphalt or wood components of bridges at various heights
- Operate various types of equipment such as; jackhammers, drills, chain saws, tampers, concrete vibrators, small hand tools
- Perform bridge washing and debris removal
- Perform bridge painting, sealing, grouting, placing and finishing structural concrete
- Loading, unloading materials and equipment from trucks
- Assist with onsite set up, maintenance and clean up including scaffolding construction and dismantling,



barricade locating and equipment locating
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

Qualifications:

- Construction experience preferred, but will consider other forms of labour experience
- Bridge and Culvert experience considered an asset (wage will be reflected)
- Sufficient physical strength and agility to perform required duties
- Safety, First Aid and WHMIS training is considered an asset, but will certify if needed
- You must hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean driving record (no major traffic violations, minor tickets are ok)
- Must have own transportation to get to and from the shop
- Must currently live within an hour of Didsbury, AB.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $24.00 per hour
