Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Café Barista to join our team. This position is Monday - Friday from 7am -3pm excluding holidays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service setting where attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential. Previous barista experience is preferred. The position requires a passion for the food industry and a commitment to food safety standards.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
- Prepare artisan sandwiches
- Serve Hot soup and lunch combos
- Operate POS system for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food preparation and serving
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas




- Restock supplies as needed and assist in food preparation when required
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently

Experience

- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems is not required.
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or cashiering within the food industry is beneficial
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
