We're a local candle and home fragrance maker in Edmonton, AB with an adjoining retail boutique where we sell the products we make alongside other curated Canadian brands for self-care, gifting and a cozy home. We are a purpose-driven business — providing health insurance to people in Rwanda with every candle + home fragrance product we sell. About the Role

This is a dynamic, hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety in their workday — moving between candle production, vendor markets, consignment stores, and our retail boutique depending on what the week needs. You'll be a key part of a small, collaborative team, jumping in wherever you're needed most. Reliability is essential to us: our team depends on each other, and this role depends on someone we can count on to show up, follow through, and take ownership.

What You'll Be Doing

- Pouring, labeling, and packaging candles, reed diffusers, and other home fragrance products
- Preparing and organizing materials for production
- Preparing for, packing for, and attending vendor markets and pop-ups, including setting up displays and completing sales in a friendly, attentive way
- Monitoring sales, tracking inventory, and restocking consignment stores as needed (by delivery or shipment), with attention to merchandising and building relationships with store staff
- Assisting customers in our Misiyo Slow Living retail store — ringing through purchases, restocking, and merchandising
- Packing and shipping online orders
- Cleaning production areas, the storefront, bathrooms, and the warehouse
- Supporting general studio tasks as needed and pitching in wherever the day calls for it

- Detail-oriented with good hand-eye coordination
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks, working independently, and following specific instructions
- Open availability Tuesday to Saturday, with some Sunday availability for vendor markets
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle with space for transporting product bins, tables, a collapsible 10x10 tent, and displays
- Comfortable around essential oils and strong fragrance; WHMIS certification an asset
- Able to do stairs multiple times a day while carrying items
- Forklift certification a bonus but not required
- Comfortable working in a hot environment up to 27°C (our production studio) and outdoors on hot summer market days
- Confident handling and pouring hot wax and using hot heat guns
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Retail experience an asset — comfortable working the storefront and checking out customers
- A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Passionate about small businesses and locally made goods
