This full-time position focuses on managing securities lending operations and driving automation projects. Wealthsimple is looking for an intern in their Capital Markets team based in Toronto. You will report to a Trader and manage trade desk risk while ensuring seamless daily inventory balance.

Your role includes high-volume execution and developing automation tools using SQL and Google Apps Script, creating impactful solutions that enhance desk profitability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

- Own the entire return process and manage daily settlements
- Monitor contract breaks and manage risk continuity




- Facilitate cross-functional engagement with trading and engineering teams
- Support general desk operations as needed
- Build automation tools to streamline trading tasks Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a relevant program
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and SQL for automation
