For this position in the Airport candidate must meet the minimum requirements below and as stated in the application questions:

Job Code: Cargo Security Screening - Montreal International Airport (YUL)

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Compensation package: $20.67 / hour (starting)

Duties:

- Successful candidates will need to have a valid Quebec Security Guard license, as well as a clear criminal record and be able to pass extensive background screening
- Successful Candidates must be willing to work 8-12 hr night shifts, weekdays, weekends and holidays. Candidates must have reliable transportation to get to and from the airport site as public transit is not available for all shift times. Candidates must be willing to perform a variety of duties including: sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; complete detailed incident reports; respond to alarms, threats and other emergencies; provide customer service; provide access control to restricted areas
- For advancement opportunities stay will be required to manipulate up to 50 lbs at a time as required by positional legislation and be able to pass colour blindness tests to ensure suitability to operate cargo screening equipment required for performing inspections on unsecured cargo

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while being alert and detail oriented




- Ability to exercise vigilance and multi task is required (Ability to prioritize, remain calm and multi-task under pressure in a energetic environment)
- Proficient in using technology
- Experience in proper search techniques.
- Ability to effectively generate all relevant shift reports and distribute in a timely manner
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English

Tâches principales :

- Détenir une licence BSP et un casier judiciaire vierge
- Réussir une vérification approfondie des antécédents
- Travailler des quarts de jour et/ou de nuit jusqu’à 12 heures
- Être disponible les fins de semaine et jours fériés
- Rédiger des rapports d’incident détaillés
- Répondre aux alarmes, incidents et situations d’urgence
- Fournir un service à la clientèle
- Contrôler l’accès aux zones réglementées
- Manipuler des charges pouvant atteindre 35 kg
