Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role is vital in promoting comfort, safety, and well-being for residents, clients, or patients. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents or clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care by monitoring health status, administering medications as prescribed, and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals
- Support seniors or individuals with disabilities through companionship, engagement, and personalized assistance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning living spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Support hospice or palliative care efforts by offering emotional comfort and respecting individual preferences




- Assist with heavy lifting or transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both the individual and caregiver

Skills

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of patient care practices, including medication administration and dementia or Alzheimer’s care
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized senior care
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and compassionate caregiving approaches
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and mobility assistance when needed
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
