About Castella Cheesecake

Founded in 2018, Castella Cheesecake was created with a passion for bringing high-quality Japanese-inspired desserts to Canada. Starting from our first location on Robson Street in downtown Vancouver, we have grown to multiple locations across Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond, supported by our central bakery where our desserts are prepared fresh daily.

We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and sales-oriented team member who can provide excellent customer service, communicate confidently with customers, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This role also includes basic baking and oven operation, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable balancing front-counter service with simple in-store food preparation.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service
- Operate the POS system and process debit and credit transactions
- Package and prepare customer orders
- Maintain product displays and keep the front counter clean and organized
- Assist with basic baking and preperation of products




- Safely operate commercial ovens and follow baking time and temperature instructions
- Monitor products while baking to ensure quality and consistency
- Assist with simple food preparation, portioning, and packaging
- Monitor stock throughout the shift and restock items as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Able to work full shifts, approximately 2–5 days per week and 5–7 hours per day
- Available to work both weekdays and weekends
- Willing to work additional hours or overtime when required
- Must have reliable transportation or be able to consistently arrive at work on time by public transit
- Must hold FoodSafe Level 1 certification or be willing to obtain it within the first month of employment
- Fluent in spoken English with strong communication skills
- Willing to continuously learn new skills, procedures, and areas of the business
- Interest in developing strong business, sales, and customer-service skills

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Pay: $18.25 – $21.00 per hour

Locations: McArthurGlen Outlets, Metropolis at Metrotown and Richmond Centre
