Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CCTV Technician to join our dynamic security and surveillance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems across various sites. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our facilities by delivering high-quality surveillance solutions.

Duties

- Install, configure, and test CCTV camera systems, ensuring optimal placement and coverage based on schematics and blueprints
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate system setup
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on CCTV equipment, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and related hardware
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to computer hardware, networking, low voltage wiring, and electrical components to minimize downtime
- Integrate CCTV systems with telecommunication networks and computer networking infrastructure for seamless operation
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble mounting brackets, run cables, and secure hardware components in various environments
- Document installation processes, system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports accurately for record-keeping

Skills

- Strong ability to read blueprints,



schematics, and technical diagrams related to CCTV and electrical systems
- Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building layouts and installation requirements
- Proficiency with computer hardware setup, networking principles, and telecommunication systems involved in surveillance technology
- Electrical experience including wiring low voltage systems safely according to industry standards
- Mechanical knowledge for handling sensors, mechanical mounting hardware, and sensor calibration procedures
- Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and other security components integrated into surveillance solutions
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools for efficient installation tasks
- Knowledge of schematics related to electrical wiring, power distribution, and telecommunication infrastructure
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards
